As the weather has improved, so has my want to be outdoors. Hence the “new” commuter bike as a part of my life.
Can’t begin to tell you the pleasure I get showing up at my appointments, meetings, and shopping with helmet in hand plus my legs have not been in better shape. I will admit the one downside to commuting everywhere via bike is that it has increased my weekly laundry but still less than a gallon of gas. If you have been thinking about using your bike more – do it as the mental benefits are huge when you come home and pass your dusty car.
Again it all ties back to personal benefit, health and sustainability – all three are linked in my increased bike usage.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Recently I attended a conference called CleanMed whose mission “is to accelerate the health care sector’s commitment to environmental sustainability and regenerative health to improve the health of people and the environment”. Makes sense that there is a strong link between the environmental health of our health care system and our own health.
